Hands and forearms
20 minOne hand and forearm at a time, slow and light.
Gentle massage in Iowa City
Short sessions of light touch, and a quiet room, for people in cancer or long-term illness care and for the people who care for them. We work with your team's guidance and take our time.

How we work
Our sessions are built around days with less energy and a care team's guidance.
Most people begin with 20 or 30 minutes: a hand and forearm, the feet, or the shoulders in a chair. The pressure stays light, and we ask what your team has said to avoid before we start.
We do not promise results. A session is time, warmth and a steady pair of hands, at the pace you choose.
Sessions of 20 to 60 minutes
Seated, side-lying or on a table
A caregiver is welcome to stay or wait

What we change
Twenty minutes is a full visit here. Longer sessions are there when you want them, never as the default.
We start light and stay there unless you ask for more. You can change it at any point.
We ask what your care team has said to avoid, and with your permission we send them a short note after your visit.
The quiet room
Before your session and after it, the quiet room is yours: a lounger, blankets, soft light and a glass of water. A caregiver can wait here, or take a quiet half hour of their own.

Each of us is licensed by the state. You can book with either.

“I drove my sister here and ended up booking half an hour for myself. I had not sat still in months.”
